Telekom Malaysia has joined Global Crossing’s global partner programme, allowing the operator to extend its Converged IP and private line services to Europe and the Americas. The deal was signed in Kuala Lumpur by representatives from the two companies.
“Participation in the Global Partner Programme has allowed us to extend our capabilities beyond the Asia Pacific region to meet the needs of our enterprise clients who have customers all around the globe,” Mohamad Rozaimy Abdul Rahman, executive vice president for Global at TM, said. “These new services will provide our clients with global reach, scalable connectivity, higher security and a wide range of IP communications services...”
“As TM's business clients take advantage of globalization and IP convergence market trends, they can benefit from TM’s support model, strong regional presence and the global seamless network enabled by Global Crossing’s IP infrastructure,” added Omar Altaji, Global Crossing's managing director, Worldwide Carrier Services.
Global Crossing’s partnership programme is supported by the operator’s FastTrack Services portfolio, which combines the business processes, products, services and systems tools for its partners to roll out enterprise services to clients. The portfolio is made up of Converged IP Services and Private Line services, including Ethernet, Collaboration and Managed Services.
Global Crossing will also provide support to TM for the launch of the global services.
