A brief outage hit a number of broadband customers relying on the Seacom SEA-ME-WE4 undersea cable on Tuesday. Telecom XT customers in parts of Wellington, New Zealand are currently experiencing a disruption of their data services. XT has confirmed that the outage is a result of a hardware failure at one or more of its cell sites. No ETA on when the situation will be resolved is currently available.
